Closure in E Major is a concept album in which our narrator and protagonist finds himself in a relationship that ends with his significant other cheating on and leaving him. The story begins with an instrumental, meant to be a reminiscent flashback of when the two first met, flashing forward into the first song, “Want Me”, which acts as a sort-of prologue, where our narrator tries to remind his former lover who he his and what she did to him. As the story progresses, we see them fall in love, the night that she cheats on him, the emotional turmoil he faces, and the ultimate resolution, the “closure” as he finally lets go her and his past, determining that he’ll be fine with or without her.
